Hard as Nails
The base component, which holds the mousing surface in place, is made from Machined Billet Aluminum.  The base also incorporates 'finger holes' which allow you to quickly and easily flip the surface sheet over. In addition, the bottom of the base has rubber feet to keep the whole thing in place on your desk.

Keep the cord out of your way!
The new (and improved) mouse cord clip is made from a higher-grade plastic and grips the base better than ever.
